I played in Liz Frame's band Liz Frame and the Kickers for while, and joined right after her excellent record Sooner came out. This was my favorite track from that record. Liz and I along with another Kickers alum, Lynne Taylor, were booked to play a songwriters trio at the Burren, but the show was cancelled due to the pandemic. I had been really looking forward to it. I worked up this cover of her song as a way to make up for the loss of that gig.
